We’re delighted to reveal our 2022 spring events programme, featuring some of the biggest names in writing today!

Headlining our programme this spring is a brand new digital events partnership with New York Public Library, for which we’ll welcome RSL President Bernardine Evaristo and bestselling author Brit Bennett for the first in a special series of Literature Matters: RSL 200/Live from NYPL events on 26 April.

In partnership with Curtis Brown Heritage, our RSL Remembers series continues on 20 April with RSL Remembers C. L. R. James, alongside NGC Bocas Lit Fest featuring Ayanna Lloyd Banwo, Margaret Busby, Selma James and Nicole-Rachelle Moore. With our regular partners the British Library, we’re hosting another in our flagship Literature Matters: RSL 200 series with a discussion between Marina Hyde and Armando Iannucci on 17 May. On 6 April, the RSL will remember the poet Mick Imlah in a special event reflecting on his archive with the Bodleian Library alongside Mark Ford, Alan Hollinghurst and Hermione Lee.

Our spring programme is completed by three Vital Discussions: On Demand, featuring Joan Anim-Addo, Maggie Gee, Damian Le Bas, Sabrina Mahfouz, Nadifa Mohamed, Deirdre Osborne and Kadija Sesay.
