Jenny Brown

Jenny Brown was elected as an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2021.
Jenny Brown is a literary agent. In previous roles she has been the first Director of the Edinburgh International Book Festival (1983-1991), presenter of book programmes for Scottish Television, Coordinator of Readiscovery, Scotland’s Year of Reading, Literature Director of the Scottish Arts Council and one of the four founders of Edinburgh as first UNESCO City of Literature. In 2002 she established Jenny Brown Associates, an Edinburgh-based agency specialising in representing Scottish-based writers. She chairs Bloody Scotland Crime Writing Festival and is Vice-Chair of the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
