Laura Bates was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2018.
Laura Bates is the founder of the award-winning Everyday Sexism Project, an ever-increasing collection of hundreds of thousands of testimonies of gender inequality, which has expanded to branches in over twenty countries. Laura’s first book, Everyday Sexism, was published in 2014 and was shortlisted for Waterstones Book of the Year and named one of The Bookseller’s Top 10 Non-Fiction Books of the Year. Her second book, Girl Up (2016), was a Sunday Times bestseller. She is a regular contributor to the Guardian, New York Times and others. Laura’s third book, Misogynation, was published in February 2018.
