Lucy Prebble was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2018.
Lucy Prebble is a writer for film, television, games and theatre. Her play The Effect (National Theatre), won the Critics’ Circle Award for Best New Play and has since been performed all over the world. She also wrote ENRON, a hugely successful piece about the infamous corporate fraud, which transferred to the West End and Broadway. Her first play, The Sugar Syndrome (Royal Court), won her the George Devine Award. For television, she is the creator of the series Secret Diary of a Call Girl, regularly appears on Have I Got News For You and is currently working on a new series starring Billie Piper.
