Sally Bayley was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2021.
Sally Bayley is a fiction and non-fiction writer. She is currently a Lecturer in English at Hertford College, Oxford. She is currently completing a set of three coming of age stories that challenge our understanding of literary genre. Girl with Dove tells of a child’s escape into the world of literature. The second part, No Boys Play Here, combines forms of drawing and song with scenes from Shakespeare’s plays. Sally is now completing the third part, The Green Lady, which conjures forms of botanical knowledge and the wisdom of poetry.
