Tom Sutcliffe

Tom Sutcliffe was elected as an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2020.

Tom Sutcliffe is a broadcaster and writer. He began his career at the BBC in 1979, working as a Producer and Editor of the arts magazine programme ‘Kaleidoscope’, before leaving to help launch The Independent newspaper in 1986, where he worked as Arts Editor, critic and columnist. He currently presents various programmes for Radio Four, including ‘Front Row’ and ‘Round Britain’ Quiz. He published Watching: Reflections on the Movies in 2000.
