About The Poem

I have two poems, the first one is from a family pets perspective and what having us hanging about the house is like.

The Poem

Well, this is unusual to say the least
My human has invaded the house like a beast
It is usually quiet, during the day
But now they are here, and they don’t want to play
They wander about in pyjamas or pants
Fingers crawling cross their keyboard like ants
Working from home, is all that I hear
Sighing and puffing out their cheeks but no tear
They open the fridge, then close it once more
And wonder anew, who’s at the door
They forget about me, I am always near
Self-isolating, while they are not here!
