the doplap

About The Poem
This poem came from observing this bird, in Bexleyheath, during the first Lockdown.
The Poem
the dove-of-peace
-likely-a-pigeon
is taking his daily allotted
up the slope
of the closed down Broadway
Shopping Centre carpark
it’s dark in there
but I see him pecking
at whatever’s left
his white feathers
a kind of a light
