I’m not a poet but a couple of days before I received the WF update the idea for the poem came to me so I thought I’d give it a go.
The Poem
We need another virus!
To replace the one we’ve got
That reaches out to others!
So no-body’s locked up!
Let it RAGE again injustice
And turn the other cheek
Cover our mistakes with kindness
Allowing HONESTY to speak
Let LOVE replace frustration
The hords of things gone wrong
While a symphony of HOPE
Mutates into a beautiful new song
I want to be contagious!
With kindness and support
And value our differences!
As face to face we talk
Let me take time to hear your story
And sit with you awhile.!
Though it may not change a thing!
I long to see your smile
