Set on ‘a Wednesday in mid-June’, Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway takes place over the course of a single day. Join Hermione Lee and Alexandra Harris for Dalloway Day, as they talk about Mrs Dalloway and its walks and follow the novel’s paths into dreams, memories, and moments of revelation

Hermione Lee was President of Wolfson College from 2008 to 2017 and is Emeritus Professor of English Literature in the English Faculty at Oxford University. She is a biographer and critic whose work includes biographies of Virginia Woolf (1996), Edith Wharton (2006) and Penelope Fitzgerald (2013). 

Alexandra Harris is a literary critic, cultural historian and Professor of English at the University of Birmingham. She has written books about Virginia Woolf, Modernism and the weather. In 2015 she presented A Walk of One’s Own: Viriginia Woolf on Foot on BBC Radio 4.
