Eimear McBride’s debut novel, A Girl is a Half-formed Thing, won the inaugural Goldsmiths Prize and the 2014 Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction. Born in England and brought up in Jamaica, Leone Ross is a novelist, journalist and academic. Her first short-story collection, Come Let Us Sing Anyway, was published in June.
